The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.
The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been initiated in order to raise awareness of recycling across the county. Although much of Cornwall is now covered by a kerbside recycling scheme, many residents are still unsure of what to recycle, where to recycle, when to recycle and how to recycle.
Recycle for Cornwall, is a half a million pound project funded by the Cornish local authorities and the Waste and Resources Action Programme (WRAP). It aims to make people more aware of recycling and encourage more people to use their household recycling schemes. In so doing we will hopefully increase recycling rates in the county and reduce waste going to landfill.
The campaign will achieve this through:
• County wide events programme • Canvassing up to 60,000 households • Dedicated website • Freephone hotline • Press and PR • Advertising
