The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.
The Bodmin Recycling Centre is the next step in the process after we have recycled our glass, cans, plastic bottles, cardboard and clothes. This is where it gets sorted, squashed and baled so that it can go and be remade in to new items.
Groups of all ages are encouraged to make visits to see and learn more about recycling in Cornwall through a tour of the centre, talks, interactive activities and discussions. Visits will be informal but informative and packed full of ideas and suggestions that you can take away.
The visits are designed to suit the age and interests of each group and are free of charge. All visits to the recycling centre must be booked in advance. For more information about visiting the Bodmin Recycling Education Centre* please call the SITA Helpline 08456 300 300.
There will also be public open days throughout the year when the centre will be open to the general public. These open days will be announced in the local press and on this website.
* Please note the Bodmin Recycling Education Centre is currently closed for refurbishment, it will re-open in the near future, meanwhile please register your interest in visiting the Centre with the SITA Helpline.
