The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.
Just as commercial businesses pay for their waste collection they must also pay for a recycling collection, this service is not covered by the payment of business rates.
However, the cost is often low and could save your company money through the subsequent reduction in your normal waste. You will also have the satisfaction that you have reduced you environmental impact which is a valuable thing to be able to tell your customers.
If you are still not convinced that Recycling at work has any economic value just look at our waste minimisation pages.
We have identified some companies who may be able to assist you with the introduction of recycling services to your business. Please note that Recycle for Cornwall provide details of external organisations for information only, this should not be taken as a recommendation for any particular organization.

A major initiative to encourage businesses to save money and increase sales by becoming more environmentally aware has begun in Cornwall. EnVision Cornwall aims to increase productivity and competitiveness of businesses by supporting them in tackling resource efficiencies and becoming accredited in environmental management. Training and advice can be given on subjects including energy, waste, water and transport management.
EnVision provides you with 5 flexible days of dedicated tailored support and an expert ‘one-stop’ shop of high quality advice at a subsided rate through European funding and South West Regional Development Agency.
EnVision will cover three key aspects for businesses:
Bottom line efficiency savings – This will increase competitiveness and sustainability through improved environmental management and reduced expenditure on resource use and disposal.
Staff culture change – adopting a smarter way of thinking about the business, environmental and social resources and seeing the benefit of installing better technologies.
Highlighting and researching new business opportunities, for example the eco-products market, which has an estimated value of £3 billion from tourism to manufacturing, recycling to construction.
