The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.
Cornwall attracts 5 million visitors each year and during the summer months many Cornish residents also take to exploring their county either on holiday or through day trips. Recycle for Cornwall would like to encourage you to continue recycling when you are out and about and has some great ideas on how you can reduce, reuse and recycle this summer.

Recycled toys that are recyclable
If you have ever bought a child a present only to find they are more interested in the cardboard box, these environmentally friendly, cost effective and sturdy toys may be just the thing for you! There are many different designs which can be decorated by your child and folded flat for easy storage. The toys are made from recycled cardboard and when your child grows out of it, can be recycled once again!
Furniture made from heavy duty recycled plastics is ideal for use in the garden. It doesn't rot and never needs painting or staining. There are many shapes, sizes, designs and colours available to choose from.
Encourage wildlife to your garden with a nesting box made from scrap wood. If you are feeling creative you could make one yourself. Otherwise they can be bought locally.
Create a relaxed ambience in your garden with subtle lighting provided by solar powered lights. These lights require no electricity or batteries and so are cost effective to run and long lasting.
